Meet the Spartans follows the basic narrative structure of 300 , replacing the dramatic intensity of the original film with contemporary cultural jokes. Sean Maguire stars as King Leonidas, leading a group of 13 Spartans—rather than 300—to defend their homeland against the invading Persian army led by Xerxes, portrayed by Ken Davitian. meet the spartans movie filmyzilla new
The plot loosely follows the framework of 300 but with a chaotic twist. The story begins with a Spartan elder inspecting three babies. The first, an ugly talking baby ogre (a Shrek reference), is thrown off a cliff. The second, a Vietnamese baby, is adopted by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. The third, a baby with a muscular physique, is accepted and named Leonidas.
The story follows King Leonidas (Sean Maguire), who leads a ragtag group of just 13 Spartan "misfits" to defend their homeland against the invading Persian army. Unlike the historical or stylized battles of its predecessor, the conflicts in Meet the Spartans often devolve into dance-offs, "Yo Momma" insults, or American Idol -style competitions. The Persian ranks are filled with anachronistic characters, including look-alikes of Ghost Rider, Rocky Balboa, the Transformers, and even celebrity parodies like a shaved-head Britney Spears and a hunchbacked Paris Hilton.
